What to do with this activity?
Show your child clouds in the sky. In Ireland we see puffy clouds at every time of year. Notice all the different shapes they make. Clouds are a wonderful part of every view, and don't always bring rain.
Why not make a squishy cloud with your child. The video above, by Chelsey DIY, shows you how to make one with a friendly face on it. It's squishy like a pillow because it has a little bit of stuffing trapped in between two sides.
You will need two sheets of white paper, some markers, sellotape, and some stuffing (toilet paper or cotton wool). Hang two or three squishy clouds from a wire coat hanger to make a simple mobile.

Why am I doing this?
One of the ways children learn is through play. A child who is playing is refining learning skills that continue to develop during childhood and beyond. Indoor and outdoor games are a great way of practising some of the reading, writing and number skills your child has learned.

How can I do more?
Encourage your child to teach you a game – letting them teach you something is empowering for your child.
